Pumpkin-Carving Tips

Here are some tips on how you can design a great pumpkin at home.


● No special tools are needed to get a great design. Pumpkin-carving toolkits available at local stores work great!


● Sketch several designs on paper before you carve, and be sure you consider the unique size and shape of your pumpkin in your drawing.


● Instead of trying to carve freehand, outline your design on the pumpkin using a wax pencil (available at craft stores) or an eyebrow pencil. This way any pencil marks can easily be wiped away when you're done.


● After carving is complete, add more character to your jack-o-lantern by accessorizing it with an old hat or a small trick-or-treat bag.
